He was a native of Chatham County, and a 2001 graduate of SOL C. Johnson High School of Savannah, GA. He attended Armstrong State College (now, Georgia Southern University).
Ellis was a lover of culinary arts and basketball, which inspired him for many years to coach Little League Basketball and work at various restaurants in culinary arts.
He is survived by his father, Peter Cohens Jr., Savannah, GA; mother Chin Cha Cohens, Lawrenceville, GA; brothers, Christopher Cohens, Lawrenceville, GA, Peter Cohens III, Savannah, GA, Patrick Cohens, Atlanta, GA; step-sisters, Desire Alexander, Ellabell, GA, Kesha (Willie) Aycock, Jonesboro, GA and Tonnell Jefferson, Houston, TX; step-brother, Darnique Jefferson, Savannah; god sisters & brother, Shebbie Davis, Larenzo Brown, Kimberly Washington, and Nykeria Pierce, all of Savannah, GA. A host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, February 10th prior to service, beginning at 2:30p.m. at Westside Christian Church, 1106 US 80, Bloomingdale, GA 31302.
Celebration of Life service will also be held on Saturday, February 10th at 3:00p.m. at Westside Christian Church, 1106 US 80, Bloomingdale, GA 31302.
Repast will be held in the Church Social Hall immediately after service.
We will adhere to CDC guidelines.
Friends may sign the online register book at www.craigrtremblefuneralhome.com.
You may send flowers to the family through our floral store, an independent florist will make delivery according to your instructions.
