Ellyn J. Licitra

Ellyn J. Licitra, 64, of Huntley, died April 28, 2025.
She was born September 14, 1960, the daughter of John and Eleonore (Jamrozy) Trush. Ellyn married Frank Licitra on July 25, 2003.
Ellyn and Frank were the best servants that any stray cat could hope to find. They adored and spoiled the cats as if they were their children. From Mr. Spit to the kittens, Ellyn and Frank adopted over 10 rescues together. Ellyn also loved floating in the pool and riding around in the boat, brandy and ginger ale in hand. Ellyn was glamorous and adored her jewelry, makeup, mani-pedi's and fashion, being a frequent at Von Maur. The color purple will always remind us of fashion-foward Ellyn. She will be missed by all of those who love her including her family and friends.
Visitation will be on Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 2-5pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be at Huntley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Anderson Humane House 1000S. LaFox Street, South Elgin, 60177.
Ellyn was survived by her sister, Laura (Matthew) Navigato, my her niece, Nicole (Robert) Lausch and nephew, John Navigato and by her great niece and nephews, RJ, Elowyn and William. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank and brother, Jackie.
