Elma Cook Obituary
She was born on October 12, 1943, the daughter of the late Virgil and Rita (Stapleton) Darrell.
Elma married Thomas Cook in 1965 in Crandon, WI and the couple made their home in Kenosha, WI. They moved to Alvin in 1996 after Thomas retired. Thomas preceded her in death on January 3, 1999.
She was employed as a bookkeeper at the gas station. Elma was a member of the Little White Church in Alvin. She loved to play bingo and go to the casino and attended church gatherings and bible study.
Elma is survived by her son, Charles (Courtney) Oberlin of Nelma, WI; daughters, Rebecca (William) Allsopp of Wilmot, WI and Marcella Boyd of Reedsburg, WI; sisters, Deloris Donathan and Etta Mae Hack, both of Peru, IN and Marie Wynne of California; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Homer and George Darrell and sisters, Gladys Whitt, Loretta Darrell
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
