Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home - CalhounElmer Franklin “Frank” Truitt, 71, of Trion, Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026. He was born in Thomaston, Georgia, on March 20, 1954, to the late Odell and Maxie Rich. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lauren Truitt, and his son, Thomas Truitt.
He is survived by his son, James (Casie) Truitt; daughter, Sherry (Stacey) Robinson; brother, Shelton (Lisa) Rich; sisters, Patti (Dave) Sherman, Cheryl Rich; grandchildren, Brittany, Robby and Ashley, Matthew, Taylor and Morgan, Jessie and Zeb, Journey, Siarra and Noah, Gage, Chelsea, Katie; 8 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and longtime friends also survive.
Frank was a longtime business owner that loved to work. He loved his church and the friends that he made there. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and loved his dogs.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Martin officiating.
The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Elmer Franklin “Frank” Truitt.
