Eloise Ross Quimbley, daughter of the late West Ross and Kizzie Ross, was born January 13, 1945 in
Camilla, Georgia. She departed this life on Tuesday July 25, 2023.
At an early age, she confessed CHRIST and united with the St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church in the Flint Community. Eloise attended Camilla Consolidated School and graduated with the class of 1962.
In 1962, Eloise was united in marriage to Sylvester Quimbley Jr. To this union five children were born, Valeria, Stephanie, Erica, Treena, and Stevie.
For years, she was employed at RCM Manufacturing and later became a home maker assisting her husband with the family business. In her early years she loved sewing and cooking for her family. She loved growing plants and was an avid reader and loved collecting different genres of books. Most days she could be found relaxing in her favorite recliner watching her favorite game shows such as America Says and People Puzzler. She also enjoyed crime shows such as NCIS and CSI. She would routinely watch old episodes of Walker Texas Ranger. She loved music but Country music was her favorite as she would spend most mornings watching CMT. When she wasn't watching television, she could be found enjoying the day rocking on the porch playing games on her kindle. She loved spending times with her family and spoiling her grandkids. She would gather with her family every Sunday after Church for Sunday dinner. She was not a woman of many words but was a light to whoever crossed her path. She believed with all her heart that you should pray about everything, no matter how big or small.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Erica Quimbley; brothers, Eugene Ross and David Ross; grandson, Justin Quimbley; son in law Deron Johnson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sylvester Quimbley, Sr. and Jessie Bell Quimbley; brothers-in-law, Willie Hicks, Charles Riggins, Jimmy Gilbert and Otis Quimble; sisters-in-law, Reba Ross and Vera Gilbert.
