With great sadness local area businesswoman, Elora Evans Stargel, passed away in the arms of her loving daughter, Renee' Sunday, September 15,2024, at 11:03 am at the NEGA Med Ctr.
She was born 04-08-1934 in Homer, Ga to Myrtle Hopper Evans & Luther L Evans. She graduated as valedictorian of her high school class in Lula, Ga. She graduated from Terry Business College. She paved the way for many women in the commercial building & real estate business. She was a long term member of the First Baptist Church of Gainesville, GA.
She devoted years to her charities, Meals on Wheels & she was a "Pink Lady" at the Hall County Hospital.
She was the most wonderful mother & grandmother that ever was. She was a fabulous cook, and she was always there for her children & grandchildren.
She leaves behind: daughter, Renee' Worthington & son-in-law US Army Colonel Dr. Roger Worthington, Braselton, Ga.; daughter, Rhonda Davidson, Lawrenceville, Ga; son, Rocky Stargel & Beth Stargel, Gainesville, Ga.
Sisters: Betty Jones, Lula Ga. Ruth McCoy, Homer, Ga
Brother: Melvin Evans, Suwanee, Ga sister-in-law, Emi Evans, Cornelia, Ga
Grandchildren; Ryan Little & Tyler Akins of Granbury, Texas Kristen Irvin, Braselton, Ga, Tiffany Akins, Gainesville, Ga. Timothy & Emily Davidson of Montgomery Village, Maryland, Nicholas Stargel, Gainesville, Ga.
And several great grandchildren.
Numerous nieces & nephews
A private family service will be held at Little & Davenport Chapel on Friday, September 20th.
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to: Good News at Noon, Gainesville, Ga
A special thanks to Dr. Kuman, Derick McConnell MSN Nurse Practitioner, and the ICU medical staff at NEGA Med that loved her & worked so hard to save her.
