With heavy hearts and endless love, we announce the passing of Eloy Martin Jimenez, a devoted father, proud grandson, cherished son, caring brother, and nephew. Eloy's vibrant spirit, beaming smile, and kind heart touched everyone who was lucky enough to know him. Eloy's greatest joy in life was his daughter, Eliza, who was truly his world. Every decision, every dream,
every moment-he lived for her. Their bond was unbreakable, and his love for her will continue to guide and protect her always.
A die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, Eloy's energy on game days was unmatched. Whether cheering from the couch or surrounded by friends, he wore his Eagles pride loud and proud. His love for music and dancing was contagious; when a song came on, you could count on Eloy to be the first to move, his smile lighting up the room.
Eloy was deeply intellectual, thoughtful, and full of life. Even while carrying the pain of losing the mother of his daughter, he continued to live with courage, humor, and passion. He lived his life to the fullest. He found strength in the people he loved, and he reminded others to keep going, no matter what life brings.
Eloy was known for his long beard and hair, which became part of his signature style. He loved when his sister Esabelle would braid it for him-those moments were filled with laughter, teasing, some shit talking, and love. He wore his braids with pride and always carried himself with confidence and style that was uniquely his own.
Eloy leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and resilience. He will forever be missed by his daughter, Eliza, his parents, his sisters and the countless family members and friends whose lives he brightened. Forever in our hearts, Eloy will be remembered for his laughter, his strength, his music, his style and the love he gave so freely. Fly, Loy, Fly----- and Go Birds.
Eloy is survived by his daughter, Eliza Alee Jimenez of Portales; his mother and step-father, Yolanda and Paulino Nunez and his father and step-mother, Eloy and Gloria Jimenez all of Portales; three sisters, Esabelle Jimenez, Paulina Nunez and Luna Nunez of Portales; a step-brother, Jose Posada and his companion Tanya Macias of Clovis; three step sisters, Alexandra (Ali) Valles of Clovis, Gabby (Manuel) Gallardo of Texico and Alondra (Elmer) Paz-Melgar; his paternal grandparents, Ramon and Rosa Jimenez and his maternal grandparents, Martin and Eulalia Baltazar, honorary mother, Debbie Jacobs.
He was preceded in death by his honorary father, Don Jacobs, Adelina Jacobs; Eliza's mom, Daniel Abdula Baltazar; Godfather.
