W I N N -H U N T E R Elsie Vera Winn Hunter went to be with her Lord on March 24, 2011. She died peacefully in her sleep at her residence in Lytle at the age of 87. She was born in Poteet, Texas on January 10, 1924 to Wesley and Dollie Goldman. She worked at the Express News as a paper carrier for well over 20 years and finally retired at age 83 when she tore her rotator cuff but she continued to miss throwing papers and her customers the rest of her life. She married Calvin “Butch” Winn January 14, 1941 and they were married for 32 years and had three children. She remarried Orville Lee Hunter in 1975. She is preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, all of her siblings and one daughter, Rhonda Kaye Barney. Elsie was survived by her son, Calvin W. Winn and companion Peggy Helms of La Vernia, former wife Judy Brooks Winn of California, her daughter, Stacey Elayne Orsack and husband Emil “Sonny” Orsack of La Vernia, her grandchildren Shana Dorsey, Donna Stutzman, Sheila Cole, Katherine Scott, Michael Orsack, Randy Sammons, Cheryl Symonds, and Robin Papale. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. S E R V I C E S Visitation will be held on Monday, March 28, 2011 from 4-8 pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. The funeral will be Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 11 am at the funeral home.
