It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elsie Mae Kubistek, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us on October 8, 2025, at the age of 84.
Elsie was a woman of vibrant spirit and adventure. Born on June 16, 1941, she lived a life filled with joy, curiosity, and a boundless love for the world around her. She held a special fondness for both the desert and the beach, often finding peace in their vast, quiet beauty-whether it was watching the sun set over desert sands or feeling the ocean breeze on her face.
Her motor home was her sanctuary, a symbol of freedom and exploration. With every road trip, Elsie embraced new places, new stories, and the joy of living in the moment-creating cherished memories along the way.
She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. Among her greatest joys was spending time with her loyal dog, Remy, especially their trips to the water, where she delighted in watching him swim. Elsie also had an undeniable sweet tooth. Whether it was a chocolate bar, a piece of pie, or a homemade dessert, her eyes would light up at the sight of a treat, and her smile could make even the smallest indulgence feel special.
A lover of swap meets, Elsie had a keen eye for hidden treasures and spent many afternoons browsing booths, chatting with vendors, and sharing stories with fellow seekers. She had a gift for finding beauty and joy in unexpected places-and for making others feel welcome in her presence.
Elsie is survived by her devoted husband Vincent, children Vincent Jr., Donna, Richard, Diane, and Brian, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Patricia and her family, and a wide circle of friends who will remember her as a warm, loving, and adventurous soul.
She leaves behind a legacy of love-for life, for laughter, and for the people who were lucky enough to know her. Her warmth, her laughter, and her zest for living will be missed more than words can express.
Rest in peace, Elsie Mae Kubistek.
Your spirit lives on in the desert winds, the waves of the ocean, and the hearts of all who knew you
