Elsie "Sue" Palmer, 75, of Athens went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
Sue was considered the caretaker of her family. She was an encourager, keeping everyone going through the good times and bad. Sue was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Preceded in death by father, Samuel Callin; mother, Alberta Parker; and sister, Sondra Callin.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Archie Wayne Palmer; daughters, Ressie Hughes (Tim) and Tessa Prater (John); sons, Archie Wayne Palmer Jr (Bonnie) and Bobby Joe Palmer; nine Grandchildren; five great grandchildren; special friends, Rose Bare and Joy Kyker; and many other loved family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00pm on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Companion Funeral Home of Athens. A Visitation will be held prior from 3:00pm-4:00pm. A Graveside will follow the Funeral at Cedar Grove Cemetery of Athens.
