Elsie Roberta Sansbury

Elsie Roberta Sansbury 68, of Bloomfield, CT, passed away on February 26, 2014 surrounded by her two loving daughters. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, on November 4, 1945, to the late Luther and Lula Sansbury Mack. Elsie was raised in Timmonsville and Lamar, South Carolina. For many years Elsie worked in Medical Records at The Hartford Dispensary. She was the eldest of six children, a mother of three children, grandmother of three and a foster parent. Elsie was a member of the Food Pantry Ministry she would get the food for people and take it to their homes. She served as the Secretary of Treasury and The Assistant Business Manager of the Concert Choir at Hopewell Baptist Church. Elsie spent many years singing with the Concert Choir. She was a spiritual woman who was very loving, giving and who loved to sing. Elsie also loved to shop for the latest fashion and jewelry. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Veronica (Clarence) Duhart of Rockville, MD; Stephanie (Christophe) Henry of Henderson, NV; Aileen Sansbury of Waterbury, CT; brother, Demetruis Barco of Miami, FL; sisters; Dorothy Whitaker of Charleston, SC, Geraldine Belin of Middletown, CT; Paula (Carl) Days of Lamar SC, grandchildren; Kingston Duhart, Jasmin and Malik Sansbury, aunt, Viola (Eaddy) Daniels of Timmonsville, SC; nieces; Tawana Sansbury of Miami, FL; Carman Whitaker of Charleston, SC and a host of other relatives and friends. Besides her parents Elsie was also predeceased by her biological mother, Sadie Sansbury Barco, brothers; Donald Sansbury and Ronald Sansbury.
