Elsie Gay Riley Sutton 86 of Flushing, Ohio. Passed away on Friday, Oct 4, 2024 with her loving family along her side.
Elsie was born on Nov 5, 1937 in Shinnston, WV. Daughter of Virgil Riley and Mary Louise Fletcher.
Elsie was a proud and very active member of the Rush Run Community Chapel. She valued the friendships that she made there.
She enjoyed traveling and camping with her companion Nelson. Also enjoyed cooking and always helping others.
Elsie was proceeded in death by her husband Ernest Sutton, her daughter Debora Shoulders, son David Sutton and grandson Jack Sutton.
She leaves behind her loving children, Rocky (Rhonda) Sutton of Flushing. Clifford Sutton of Cadiz, Louise (Bruce Harris) Kugler of Flushing, Daughter in law, Sandy Sutton of Yorkville . Grandchildren that she helped raise, Jennifer (Zac Butler) Garvin of New Athens,
Alexis (Brandon) France of New Philly. Several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Her loving companion Nelson Snyder of Flushing. Siblings Roxie Nicholson and Steve Thompson.
As per Elsie’s request, there will be no visitation as she has chosen to donate her body to the WVU Human Gift Registry.
