Elva McKay, 93, of Cove, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2009 in Tyler. She was born in Cedar Bayou on May 5, 1915 to her late parents, Ira Williams and Viva Maley Williams, lived in Cove all of her life and was a member of the Cove Church of Christ. Mrs. McKay was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold McKay; son, Freddie Stayton; daughter, Janice Stayton and one great-granddaughter. Survivors include her daughters, Hope Johnson and her husband Jimmy of Cove, Delois Bishop and her husband Michael of Tyler and Anita Foy of Tyler; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Navarre Funeral Home and there will be a private family burial at the Tilton Cemetery in Cove. Arrangements are under the direction of Navarre Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, Texas 77521, (281) 422-8111.
