Elva Farley Perry, age 93, of Corbin, KY, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Baptist Health Corbin.

Born in Leslie County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Henry Farley and Tanna Day Farley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Perry; son, Larry Lee Perry; granddaughter, Kelly Perry; and siblings, Cam "Hammer" Farley, LO "Doc" Farley, William Farley, Mary Grogan, Sarah Belle Cox, and Helen Long.

Elva was a beacon of love, support, generosity, and compassion, illuminating the lives of all those fortunate enough to know her. She was a woman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, a devoted fan of the Andy Griffith Show, and a keen hobbyist who found tranquility in quilting, gardening, and canning. Her affection for animals was unrivaled, with her beloved pets Taco, Rosey, Ratler, and Princess holding a special place in her heart.

Elva was a woman who loved people wholeheartedly and you would never hear her utter a negative word about anyone. Her generous spirit often led her to extend a helping hand to those in need, making her a cherished member of her community. Above all, Elva valued her family; they were her world, her rock, and her greatest joy. Her love for them was a testament to her nurturing spirit, a bond that cannot be lost. Elva also loved her church family,  and was an active member of Freedom Worship.

She is survived by her children, Charlotte Sawyers (Richard), JC Perry (Carol), Guy Perry (Margie), Bill Perry (Joyce), Gary Perry, and Sarah Rariden (Jon); grandchildren, Richard John Sawyers, Jennifer Ann Hughes, Victoria Marie Perry, Jason Samuel Perry, Dennis Perry, Daniel Perry, Ashley Perry, Natasha Hoefler, Meggan Alexis Rariden, and Hannah Rariden; sister, Martha Brittain; and by numerous Great Grandchildren
