Elva Reigle Obituary
She was born in Millersburg on Thursday June 16, 1927 to the late Mary Snody Leitzel and Clarence Leitzel. She was a 1945 graduate of Millersburg High School.
Sis was a lifetime member of Hebron United Methodist Church in Millersburg where she taught the children and youth departments, served on numerous committees, and worked in the church's kitchen for 70 plus years. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking, and canning. She enjoyed trips to the beach with her family and many, many games of pinochle with her siblings and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Paul R. Reigle; her daughters, LouAnn Reigle (Don) and Paula Trotman (Andy); grandchildren, Jason Jones (Shannon), Matthew Trotman (Olivia), Courtney Zimmerman (Aaron), and her great grandchildren, Connor, Parker, and Sophia Jones, Myles and Owen Trotman, and Vera Zimmerman; brother-in-law, Jerry Reigle (Brenda); numerous nieces and nephews who all considered her the matriarch of her family.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Jim, Glenn, and Warren, and her sisters Betty, Anna Mae, Cynthia, and Donna.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Hebron United Methodist Church, Millersburg, with a viewing from 10-11 and service at 11 with Pastor Melia Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Long Cemetery in Halifax with a luncheon to follow in the Hebron United Methodist Church Social Hall.
