Elvira Jean Pollock, 82, of Mt. Lebanon, PA, passed away unexpectedly on May 18, 2025. Born on August 13, 1942 in Beadling, PA, she is the daughter of the late Daniel and Catherine Vanzin.

She is the proud and loving mother of Denise (John) Tholl, Frank (Terri) Pollock, Denette (Chris Mendelsohn) Pollock, and Dave (Michele Passaro) Pollock; Sister to Daniel (Beverly) Vanzin and Frank Vanzin; Grandmother of Brittany (Dan) Bartlett, Kelsey (Lane) Platt, Ryan, Bradley, Jared, Emily, and Nick Pollock; Great-grandmother of Daryl and Dominic Bartlett, and Miles and Sloane Platt; She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and one million friends (we counted!).

Elvira is preceded in death by the love of her life of 58 years, Frank "Tanki" Pollock. We find great comfort knowing that they are reunited.

Above all, she was generous. Generous with a smile, a laugh, a helping hand, or the shirt off her back.

Elvira was the life of the party wherever she went and people seemed to gravitate to her. After playing tennis for many years, she moved on to pickleball which she grew to love with the same amount of passion. She also enjoyed marathon rounds of poker with her "poker friends" and hours of board games with her family. Some may even call her "a bit" competitive. She had a sharp wit and a great sense of humor, often ready with a joke, sometimes off-color, to brighten someone's day. She never met a stranger, and she loved her family and friends more than life itself. That love was returned ten fold and her passing will leave a huge void in so many lives.
