Elvura A. Bridegum

Elvura A. Bridegum, 101, of Hamilton, NJ, went to be with the Lord January 18, 2026.

Born June 10, 1924 to Francis and Elvura Johnson in Pemberton, NJ. She was a lifelong resident of Hamilton, where she met the love of her life, the late George P. Bridegum and together they built a life with their two sons, Mark and Michael. Elvura was dedicated to her family and they enjoyed spending time together. She and George were avid travelers, together they saw the world. They also made trips to the shore, spending time in Ocean City on the boardwalk. After George's passing, Elvura continued her love of exploring and went on more than 50 cruises with her son Mark.

Elvura was also a passionate volunteer, lending her time to Meals on Wheels and the Senior Center. She was also a regular at the YMCA, participating in exercise classes. Elvura was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.

Predeceased by her parents Franklin and Elvura Johnson; her husband of 59 years, George P. Bridegum; her son Michael Glen Bridegum; her sister Janet Lee Clore and her brother Glen. Elvura is survived by her son Mark F. Bridegum.

Funeral services were held privately.
