Ema Sadar, 87, passed away at Chancellor Gardens on September 21, 2023, with her loving son by her side. Ema was born June 12, 1936, to Barbara Vogrincic Plahut and Stefan Plahut in Petonjci, Slovenia. She married Anton T. Sadar in Germany on April 8, 1958.
Ema came to the United States in 1961 where she settled in Midvale, Utah to be with her husband. In 1970 the family moved to Roy, Utah. Later in life she worked for Wal-Mart in fabrics, everyone loved and respected her. She had a passion for cooking from scratch, herb gardening, creating different flower arrangements, arts, and crafts, knitting sweaters, quilting and she loved to travel.
Ema is survived by her son, Zoran Sadar of Clearfield, Utah and a few cousins in Slovenia.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother from Slovenia.
It was Ema’s wishes not to have a funeral service, please remember her at her best.
Ema will be inurned at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park Mausoleum.
