Emanuel Martinez, age 66, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 23, 2024. Emanuel (Manny) proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1977-1981. He then worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, in San Diego, CA and Anthony, TX.
Manny loved life. He had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. There are countless stories about him always willing to help people in need, especially the underdog. Manny had a passion for sports, politics, and music. More importantly, he loved being with his family and friends.
Emanuel is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Maria Martinez and his brother, Juan Martinez, Jr. He is survived by his children Alejandro Jay Martinez and Alessandra Martinez, his stepsons, Lonny , Joseph, David and Kenneth Hendrickson; his sisters Rosalva Martinez Saenz and Marie Martinez; his nephews, Gabriel and Esteban Seañez, Israel Enriquez Martinez, and Sebastian Pantoja.
You are invited to Sunset Funeral Home, 9521 North Loop for a visitation from 4:00-8:00 pm, June 6 with a Prayer Service at 6:00pm. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, June 7 at Fort Bliss Cemetery.
