Emersyn “Emmy” Faye Weisner, age 4, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, after a lifelong battle with multiple congenital medical complexities. Emersyn was born on June 19, 2021 in Watauga County, NC, and adopted by Jena Katherine Johnson and Traci Evelyn Weisner on September 30, 2021.
Emmy enjoyed time with her siblings, floating in the pool and the comforts of her bed and soft blankets. Being held by her mama and listening to her cloud soother were her favorite activities. She was dearly loved by her home health nurses, friends and family.
Emersyn is survived by her parents, Jena Johnson (partner, Joy) and Traci Weisner; her siblings, Zoe Burchell (Ben), Devon Johnson (fiancée, Matt), Drew Johnson, Aleah Dennis, Serenity Dennis, Joseph Weisner, Dezlyn Dennis, Caiden Weisner, Miley Weisner and Mae Danzy; grandmother, Donna Robinson; and uncles, Jason Johnson (Sulwyn) and Jacob Johnson (Aime).
A memorial service to honor Emersyn will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. The family will gather following the service at their home for refreshments, fellowship, and swimming, Emmy's favorite pastime.
