PEKIN ~ Emery LeRoy Fincham, Jr., 81, of Pekin, passed away at 3:34 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born July 25, 1935 in Peoria to Emery L. and Laura (Walsar) Fincham, he married Judith Frederick in Peoria on June 19, 1957. She died January 3, 1973. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one son, Scott Fincham and two brothers, Harry and Butch Fincham.
Surviving are two sons, Emery Fincham, IV and Edwin Fincham, both of Pekin; one daughter, Tammy Quarello of Pekin; six grandchildren, Brandy Barbour, Nicole Quarello, Ashley Quarello, Edwin Fincham, Jr., Anthony Schauwecker and Roxanne (Rusty) Pfeiffer; 11 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Bob and Mike Fincham, both of East Peoria.
Emery had worked as a switchman for P&PU Railroad in Creve Coeur for 44 years, retiring in 1997.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and being outdoors. Emery’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
The family would to extend a sincere and special thank you to Emery’s two granddaughters, Brandy and Roxanne for their devoted care.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services or visitation. Private inurnment will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society, 4234 N. Knoxville Ave. Peoria 61614.

My grandfather is the best he has helped us family so much hes a lovwinge man that treats his family evanly he was a great person he donated to lots of thing Evan tho his brothers mom dad and wife passed a way he was happy this is his granddaughter natilen i cry olmost every night cause I know I'm never going to see his face a again never hold his not Evan hear her s voice it hurts me so much when I grow up I'm going to get a good job and make sure my grandfather is proud of Me he helped my family we would of been homeless if it wasn't for him he daservers to feel no pain fly high grandpa you will be missed
