Emil Lloyd Fritz

Emil Lloyd Fritz, 92, of Peshtigo, passed away February 26, 2026 at Rennes Health Center West. Born August 23, 1933 son of the late Emil Fredrick and Christine (Malke) Fritz he graduated from Peshtigo High School class of 1951. On July 30, 1955 he married the former Blanche Skrzypinski and the couple celebrated 62 years of marriage. Blanche preceded him in death April 26, 2018.

Emil worked at Eklunds/Berman's gas station and also at Badger Paper Mill before retiring after 42 years. He raised seven children, worked seven days a week, and coached basketball and little league. On his only days off he would take his boys fishing. Emil was a Green Bay Packer season ticket holder. He enjoyed his Thursday night card and dice games with family, and Friday night fish fry's that he received from his watchful eye and friend Pat Harper.

Emil is survived by, 6 sons, Tom (Tanya), Tim (Pam), Tony (Ellen), Pat (Sherry), Paul (Lynne), and Phil (Brenda); a daughter, Mary (Brian) Mowrer; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents and his wife, Blanche, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Omer, Roy, Harold, and Clarence and 2 sisters, Genevia Baldwin and Vivian Betrand.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 5th at St. Mary Catholic Church in Peshtigo from 9:00 am until time of funeral Mass at 11:00 am. with Father Michael Lightner officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo with military honors by the 20 Year Club. Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home is serving the family.
