Emilio Neumann:
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Emilio Neumann. He peacefully passed away on April 3rd surrounded by his close family and friends, and holding the hand of his beloved daughter, Sara. As fate would have it, he passed away around the same time as his grandfather, Emilio Neumann Besozzi, his kindred spirit, fulfilling God's plan.
Born in Lima, Peru, to Alejandro and Carmela Neumann, their only son, Emilio, pursued his dreams of becoming a renowned singer in Peru and beyond. His music touched the lives of many, filling hearts with hope and joy, as he recorded several albums and composed his own songs. One of his most significant moments in his career was when the President of Peru commissioned him to perform the Peruvian national anthem in 1973, in front of the Peruvian armed forces, as Peru was preparing to defend their southern border.
Emilio's voice and unwavering determination propelled him to various places, but his heart always yearned to be near his daughter. For that reason alone, he left Peru and settled permanently in the United States. He often reminisced about that decision, expressing his determination and conviction in making it. In the United States, his singing career took him and his bandmates to numerous states and places that he had only dreamed of. It was a new chapter in his life, brimming with adventure.
Although Emilio has co-parented with Robert Wright and Ada Wright for many years, he has now left them with his most cherished possession, his daughter. Emilio is finally reunited with his son, Paul Martin Neumann Dominguez, his parents, grandparents, Demetrios and Emilia Spahidakis. It is now Paul's turn to be with him. Emilio is survived by his only granddaughter, Margaux Neumann Spahidakis, his daughter Sara Neumann Spahidakis, his son-in-law George Spahidakis ("hijo"), and his godchildren Miguel Del Rosario Dominguez, and Rosa Del Rosario Dominguez.
There will be a final goodbye the morning of the funeral at the funeral home followed by a procession to his residence, Astoria World Manor and then Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
