Emilio D. Trevino

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Emilio D. Trevino, who entered eternal rest on January 8, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on February 27, 1941, in La Tina, Texas, Emilio lived a life defined by hard work, strong values, and an enduring love for his family, the land, and the traditions of ranch life.
Emilio built a remarkable career through dedication and perseverance. He spent many years working for Brown & Root, where he began at the ground level and earned his way up to the position of Superintendent, gaining the respect of all who worked alongside him. Following his time there, Emilio pursued his entrepreneurial dream and founded Trevino's Welding Service, a business he built from the ground up and ran with pride, integrity, and craftsmanship.
A true cowboy at heart, Emilio loved his horses and found joy in ranching, rodeos, hunting, and fishing. The outdoors was his sanctuary, and he was happiest working the land, riding horseback, or sharing stories from his many adventures. His passion for these traditions was passed down to his family and will live on through them.
Above all else, Emilio was a devoted family man. He is survived by his sons, Blue Trevino and Indalescio Trevino; his grandchildren, Ford Trevino, Michael Trevino, Michelle Trevino, and Adam (Cartwright) Trevino; his sister, Rosa Gonzalez; and his brothers, Jesus Trevino, Alfredo Trevino, and Juan Trevino. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, perseverance, and unconditional love that will continue to guide his family for generations.
Services will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. wit a 7:00 p.m. Rosary at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Emilio's life and honor his memory.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Las Rucias Sacred Heart Church,16584 US-281, with a burial to follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
