Emily Faith Dennison

Emily Faith Dennison, age 13, of Landenberg, passed away unexpectedly on July 3, 2025, at Nemours Children's Hospital with her family by her side. Born in Swarthmorewood, PA, Emily spent the first 6 years of her life laughing and playing outside with her sister and numerous friends. The family moved to Landenberg in 2018 and Emily flourished. While she excelled in several sports, Emily found her true passion with gymnastics and cheerleading in recent years. She tumbled and flipped with fearlessness, joy, and precision; her trampoline was her favorite practice spot.

Emily made friends wherever she went, her kind and open spirit made others feel loved and seen. Known as 'little mama' due to her caring nature, young children were so frequently drawn to Emily that many parents offered to pay her for the time she spent with their kids. Emily recently completed 7th grade at Avon Grove Middle School where she was a member of the choir, volleyball team, and cheerleading team. An active member at Newark Country Club, Emily was known to have a mean swing on the golf course and for doing flips off the diving board at the club's pool. Emily thrived being outdoors, soaking up the sun either at the pool or the beach, or walking around the local park with friends. She had a love for music and was always singing and dancing with her friends.

She will be dearly missed for her infectious smile and laugh, knuckle cracking, 'Emmy squeezes', and for a loving soul that knew no bounds. Emily radiated love and sweetness like sunlight to the world, she will be remembered in every sunrise and sunset.

Emily was a devoted daughter to Patrick and Nicole, a cherished younger sister to Lauren, and a special granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. 

You are invited to visit with family and friends from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the Christian Life Center, 125 Saginaw Road, Lincoln University, PA 19352.  Her funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the Emily Dennison Athletic Scholarship Fund.
