Emily Claire Greene, affectionately known to those closest to her as Claire, passed away peacefully at home in Eufaula, Alabama, on April 21, 2025. Born on September 5, 1928, in Columbus, Georgia, Claire was a beacon of love and kindness throughout her life.

Claire was more than just a beloved family member; she was the heart of her family. Those who had the privilege of knowing her were truly blessed to call her mom and MawMaw. Her close-knit relationships with her family and friends reflected her generous spirit and unwavering devotion. She was cherished by her daughter, Vickie Fowler and son-in-law Gene Fowler, as well as her grandchildren Jeff and Amanda Willis, Christy and Andy Wilkes, Karen Willis, and Bethany and Javier Dela Cruz. Claire's legacy continues with the joy brought to her life by her eight great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren, each of whom were loved deeply.

Claire was a member of the Sunshine Joy Sunday school class at the Fort at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia, where she embraced her faith and shared her warm heart with her church community. Claire also found great joy in simple pleasures, such as playing games and enjoying Gaither videos, which brought her laughter and connection with her loved ones.

She was predeceased by her husband, Leo Thomas Greene, her father Aaron Joseph Cranshaw, her mother Emily Alton Cain Andrews, her daughter Sandra Driggers, and her great grandson Kevin Willis. Their memories live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

The loss of Emily Claire Greene leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of her family and friends. She will be remembered not only for the love she shared but also for the indelible mark she left on all who were fortunate enough to be part of her life. She will be greatly missed, her spirit forever cherished in the hearts of those she loved.
