Frances Greene Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by A Better Place Funeral & Cremation Services on Jan. 6, 2026.
Frances E Greene (Frankie) August 4, 1942 - January 1, 2026
Long time South Park Rancher Frankie Greene went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on New Years day 2026 at her daughters home in Fort Lupton, Colorado after spending all summer at her ranch in Jefferson.
She was born to Bob and Betty Pasco of Golden Colorado. She graduated from Golden High School.
She had two passions in life music and horses. She was an accomplished accordion player, which led her to meet her husband J while playing for a dance at the Hartsel Hotel. The two were married in January 11, 1964.
J worked for Ralph Johnson in Jefferson on his ranch, and the couple resided there for the entirety of their married life. Eventually Ralph gifted the lower ranch to the Greene's in 1984.
Frankie ran for Park County treasure at the young age of 27 and her victory started a career in Park County government. She served one term as treasurer, and then went on to work as a book keeper in several departments, eventually becoming the Financial Officer for the County Commissioners. Her sharpness with numbers and figures proved to be a valuable asset for her career in Park County government and for her beloved ranch at Jefferson.
Every hour outside the Park County buildings found her as a mom to daughter Ginger and a ranchers wife. She never missed an event from band concerts to horse-shows and rodeos and spent countless hours in the truck helping her daughter chase her dreams. She also spent many hours with the local 4-H kids helping lead and mentor. She could night check cows, run for parts, keep the family books, keep the cows checked on summer pasture and cook with the best of them. She was a constant support to J at the ranch, to Ginger in her endeavors, and the the entire Jefferson community.
She is preceded in death by her husband J Greene, infant son Gerald Allen, parents and brother Robert Pasco.
She is survived by her daughter Ginger Greene (Danny May) of Fort Lupton,Sister Elaine Pasco of Conway Arkansas, Sister in law Barbara Pasco of Canon City Colorado.
Frankie did not want a funeral but requests a picnic in the Summer in Jefferson to honor her memory. Details on that in the spring. In lieu of flowers the family requests gifts in her name to local 4-H, Samaritan's Purse or Hand of Hope Ministries.
