Gary Orren Ingram, 75, of Mission Viejo, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on December 17, 2025.

Gary was born in Denver, Colorado on August 4, 1950. His parents and sisters were at a Denver Bears baseball game, and his mom gave birth during the game, in the “medical tent” before being transferred to the hospital. He gave his birth as the reason he was a lifelong baseball fan. At the age of 10, his love of football began when he became the first ball boy for the Denver Broncos in 1960-61.

Gary graduated from Golden High school. He attended Michigan State University for two years and graduated from the University of Colorado. He worked for the US Postal Service for over 20 years, as well as for the US Federal Government for 15 years as a forensics specialist. He was known for his wit and great sense of humor, his love of classic cars, cruises, casinos, and most of all, his devotion to family, including his dogs and cats. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Shannon, his children, Cory (Sabrina) and Richard (Kelleen), eight grandchildren and step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Audrey.

Two private Denver-Broncos themed celebrations of Gary’s life are planned for this spring, one in Orange County, California and another in Golden, Colorado.

When asked recently to give three words that best described his father, son Cory immediately responded, “Pull my finger.” And of course, everyone laughed! Gary will be remembered for his joy in sharing laughter with everyone he met. Gary asked that in lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to Saddleback Church PEACE Center (for the Saddleback Food Pantry) by visiting saddleback.com/giving or sending a check payable to Saddleback Missions Dept – PEACE Center, 1 Saddleback Pkwy, Lake Forest, CA 92630.
