Emily Faith Madden, age 27 of Clifton, passed away on Sunday, July 21st, 2024, at her home.
Born in Newton to Michael and Elizabeth "Betsy" (Beatty) Madden, Emily grew up in Franklin and lived in Hardyston and Morristown, just recently moving to Clifton.
Emily graduated from Wallkill Valley Regional High School as the valedictorian in 2015. She then went on CCM, where she received her associates degree in nursing, then Capella University for her bachelor's degree. Emily became an RN just in time to join the frontline of the Covid-19 Pandemic. She excelled as a nurse and constantly received praise from patients and supervisors at both Newton and Morristown Hospitals. Emily was a loving and exceptional daughter, sister, aunt, girlfriend, and friend. She will be remembered for being incredibly humble. She and her boyfriend enjoyed hiking and traveling; visiting places like the Catskills, New Hampshire, the Berkshires, and her favorite: Abby's Path. They collected t-shirts from every destination. She was also proud of her Irish heritage and had an affinity for hot sauce; ranking Texas Pete "Hotter" as number one.
Predeceased by her grandparents Wilbert and Ruth Beatty and Mike and Margaret (Peg) Madden, and sister Abigail Madden. Emily is survived by her loving parents, Michael and Betsy Madden; sisters Jessica Stone and her husband Michael, and Laura Madden and her fiancé John Saunders; Uncle and Godfather John Madden and his wife Darlene; Aunt Peggie Marano and husband George; cousins Kathryn, Margaret, John, Michael, and Sean; niece and nephew Max and Ella; and Godmother Christine Napovier, and Cousin Amy Heater She is also survived by her boyfriend Alan Thompson and her beloved dog, a Cavapoo named Guinness.
A visitation for Emily will be held on Sunday, July 28th, 2024, 1-5PM at the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ 07416. A Funeral Mass will be on Monday, July 29th, 10AM at the Immaculate Conception RC Church in Franklin.
