Emily Michelle War, 54, formally from Espanola, NM, born December 1969, to Joe and Maria Emma War went on to be with the Lord peacefully at her daughter Adriana's home in Hartley, TX, on September 24, 2024.
Emily was preceded in death by her parents Joe War & Maria Emma Martinez-King; sister Carla Marie War; brothers Ben Sr. and Tommy War; nephew Ben Jr War; beloved companion Arturo Montenegro and beloved cousin who was like a sister Rosa Mier-Lozoya.
Emily is survived by her children Fernando Arzabala (Mickie) and Adriana "Nana" Serrato (Didi); grandchildren, Gabriela, Joshua, Sophia, MacKenzie (donut) her pride and joy, and Ariana Arzabala, Alejandra, Aracely & Alondra Arzabala; one great-granddaughter Areli Arzabala; one Adoptive grandson Triston Jones; her only sister Josie Martinez and husband Jimmy from La Mesilla; Emily's nieces and nephews who were close to her, Jimmy (Jimbo) and wife Andrea, Samantha and husband Isidro, Jerome and companion Alee, Jesse War and companion Stasanni, Emma War and companion Darryl, TJ War and wife Jessica, Shanice War and Daniel War. Emily leaves numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Public Visitation will be Monday, September 30, 2024, from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Dalhart Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Dalhart Funeral Home . Private interment will be held at a later date.
The family of Emily Michelle War has entrusted their loved one to Dalhart Funeral Home.
