We share news of the passing of Emma "Lisa" Bigger, on February 11, 2026. She passed comfortably in the company of friends in Nashville, Tennessee after a long, brave battle with disability and a short illness.

Born in Chester, South Carolina on June 10, 1966, she was raised by her Aunt Ruby and made many friends there. She loved to read and learned all she could from an early age, which allowed her to earn perfect SAT scores. She could have followed any career path, but her dreams of making music led Lisa to Nashville. She attended Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and graduated with a B.S. in Recording Industry Management. She also was a licensed massage therapist, with many famous clients from her work on Music Row and at Starwood Amphitheater.

Lisa enjoyed swimming at an early age. She loved cats and dogs and was an expert on plants and natural remedies. She was always passionate about music, going to shows, and shopping! She will be remembered by her friends for her charm, sassy sense of humor, her stubborn streak, and never giving up in the face of adversity.

Ms. Bigger is preceded in death by her mother, Emma Mae (Dickey) Bigger, father, Douglas McAlister Bigger, aunt, Ruby Bigger Morrison, and her brother, Gene Bigger, all from Chester, SC. She is survived by several cousins and friends.

No services are planned at this time.

In lieu of flowers, you may make donations in Lisa's name to Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services at tals.org.
