Emma Jean Francis, age 71, departed this life on Wednesday evening, May 28, 2025, at her home in Madisonville, TN. She was a bona fide member of The Church of God Sanctified in Madisonville, TN. After over 30 years, Emma ceased her employment as a cook for the Monroe County Jail. Before launching her career with the Monroe County Jail, she worked as a cook for the Hitching Post in Etowah, TN, and also cooked for the Town and Country Restaurant in Madisonville. She received her elementary education at Madisonville Elementary School and Madisonville Junior High School in Madisonville, TN. Her secondary education was completed at Madisonville High School, graduating with a high school diploma in 1972. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Issac and Lois Davis Francis; grandparents, Howard and Mary Belle Davis, John Oscar and Fannie Francis; brothers, Ronnie, Howard, and Richard Francis; sisters, Fannie Belle Francis Hill and Sandra Francis Huff. She leaves to cherish her memories, brother, Darren Francis of Madisonville, TN; sisters, Mary, Connie, and Martha Francis, all of Madisonville, TN; sister-in-law, Barbara "Pinkie" Francis, of Sweetwater, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00 P.M., Bishop Dwight Frazier will be officiating. Bishop G. R. Hill, General Overseer of The Church of God Sanctified, Inc. will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow at Park City Cemetery. Arrangements by Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
