Rose Williams (Cellitti)

Born – March 31st, 1945 – Victory Won -September 5, 2025

For those that didn't know:

To know our grandmother was to know love, devotion, loyalty, commitment and grace. She poured her heart and soul into our family on a daily basis all the way to the bitter end. She continually showed all of us how much we meant to her, how much we meant to the world and never once let anyone put themselves down or talk poorly about someone. Devout in her faith from the day she accepted Christ as her personal savior, she faithfully attended Watson's Chapel in Madisonville, TN where she was active and helped with Sunday School classes for Children, church events and spent time with her "church ladies' friends".

Rose Cellitti was born March 31, 1945 in Rockford Il, to Joseph Fred and Eva Marie Cellitti. Shortly after 6:00 AM she departed this life into a swift sunrise to go home with our Heavenly Father for eternity. Rose married Calvin Lee Williams of Tellico Plains on August 10, 1963 after having met and fell in love at first sight (the way she told it) at the Hollywood Diner in Rockford, IL and they spent the last 62 years happily married and in love. She worked many years at Sea Ray Boat Company in Vonore, TN and made many friends in her tenure there, until her retirement, when her love of travel with Calvin took flight, including trips to the Rocky Mountains, the Bahamas, the Grand Canyon, Disney World with her grandchildren, trips to Illinois to visit her vast family and multiple trips to Florida to lounge on the beach and sift for shark teeth and loved spending time with and cooking for her family. She and Calvin would constantly brag on their family and often pointed out that their granddaughter was a nurse and all three of her grandsons were Eagle Scouts. Rose is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Fred and Eva Marie (Krpan) Cellitti, brothers, Dennis Cellitti (Lynn), David Cellitti, Mike Cellitti (Penny), Jeff Cellitti (Sue), Bill (Blaire) Cellitti and Robert Cellitti Paravala (Melanie), nephew, Anthony Cellitti, great nephew, Gregory Cellitti, Mother-in-law & Father-in-law Reed & Reba Williams, Sisters-in-law, Lilian Bibee (JC), Mildred Wattenbarger (Garland), brothers-in-law Ralph Williams (Janice), RL Tucker (Betty Jo).

She is survived by her husband and love of her life of over 62 years, Calvin Lee Williams, daughter and son-in-law, Diana & Danny Lynn of Tellico Plains, son and daughter-in-law, Terry Lee, Sr. and Susie Williams of Venice Florida, Grandchildren, Emily Rose & Desmond Smith of Madisonville, Caleb Allen Lynn of Tellico Plains, Tony Meditz of Sweetwater and Terry "TJ" Lee Williams Jr. of Crossville, great-grandchildren Daniel Smith & Darcie Smith (Emily), Wyatt & Waverly Rose (Tony), special church friend & honorary grandson Xander Russel and her best boy, Jax. She is also survived by Brothers, Gregory Cellitti (Marie), Gary Cellitti, Jimmy Cellitti (Elizabeth), Sisters, Linda Shank (Jim), Rebecca McMahon (Jim), Paulette Lenz (Tom), Pamela Jensen (Steve), Cindy Cellitti, Michelle Cellitti, Sisters-in-law Elizabeth Thompson (David), Betty Jo Tucker (RL), brothers-in-law, Carl Williams (Dawn), Glenn Williams (Sarah) and a host of nieces & nephews of multiple generations, special friends, Ronnie Davis (Jen), Steve Trentham (Susie), Richard McDaniel (Debbie), Charlotte Newman, Brian Ballsinger (Janet), Pat Riggs, and countless others. We would like to say a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice, her nurse Martha and Aide Destiny for the wonderful care they provided.

Rose led a life of service to all who knew her…she never had an unkind word to say, never raised a hand to anyone and never waned in her faith. Through her devotion to family, friends, loved ones and strangers…Rose showed the world what love was supposed to be…she will be forever missed by all who knew her. The family will receive friends at Biereley Hale funeral home in Madisonville on Monday, September 8th, 2025 from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM with a grave-side funeral to follow. She will then be laid to rest at Cane Creek Baptist Church in the Belltown Community of Tellico Plains, TN. We're all sad to lose such an amazing woman but thrilled for the reward she has found with our Father in Heaven.

Until we meet again, Mamaw…we all love you.

TJ, Emily, Caleb. Tony. Daniel, Darcie, Wyatt & Waverly Rose

She gave me a knee walker to use after surgery and she didn't even know me. And she raised a wonderful daughter who is very special to me. It's great to know she knew the Lord!!!
