Emma Louise Harris, age 91, of Kirbyville, Missouri, passed away October 1, 2025. She entered this life on February 17, 1934, the daughter of Charles and Thelma (Logan) Forrester in Springfield, Missouri.
Growing up in the Ozarks, Emma's life was full of adventure. She enjoyed bowling and developing her skills as a talented cook and baker. This served her well as her family grew. They always looked forward to her famous spaghetti and meatballs. Emma was a lifelong, dedicated Kansas City Chiefs fan who rarely missed watching them on TV. She enjoyed shopping, playing card games with her family, planting flowers and keeping her yard looking beautiful. Emma was a dedicated church member and served as a greeter on Sundays.
In her 91 years on this Earth, Emma loved life. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a saying for every situation. She always cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her kids and grandchildren. As much as she adored her family, her love of chocolate may have rivaled her love for her family! Her legacy and memory will be cherished for generations. In memory of Emma, please eat a piece of chocolate and love your family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Charles Trewatha; second husband, Larry Ellis; and third husband, Lloyd Harris.
Emma is survived by son, Stephen (Eva) Trewatha of Lee's Summit, Missouri; daughter, Kimberly (Phil) Paris of Kirbyville, Missouri; grandchildren: Dustin (Angie) Trewatha, Olivia (Matt) Logush, Christopher (Moira) Paris, Joshua (Kate) Paris, and Jenna (Daniel) Janes; seven great-grandchildren: Ava Trewatha, Sebastian Logush, Hugo Logush, Sophia Logush, Dempsey Paris, Emma Paris-Janes, and Waylon Janes; and sister, Cornelia Rowland.
There will be a celebration of life held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 31806 East Truman Road, Buckner, Missouri 64016. If desired, please wear Kansas City Chiefs attire and bring your favorite dessert. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
