Our sweet Emma Rose Jacob unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday July 22nd, 2025. If you had the pleasure of knowing her in any facet you are familiar with her captivating smile, her laugh that fills a room and her hug that stays with you.
Words cannot describe the beauty she was, from the inside out. With a heart of gold, a determination like no other, and a love that was felt by so many. She was the type of girl who would pick you up, give you her shirt off her back, and remind you that you're the baddest one around. But if you thought she would sugar coat the truth, you were wrong, she was honest to a fault.
Born on February 2nd, 2003, and raised in Tomah, Emma kept her family on her toes with her witty sense of humor, attitude that went on for days and wild imagination. After graduating from Tomah High School in 2021 she went off to college at UW Platteville where she met the love of her life, Jonathan, and recently graduated with a Degree in Psychology and Minor in Forensic Science with hopes to pursue a career in social work.
She loved being outside, hiking and kayaking, especially in Door County, one of her favorite places. Music was always on, and she was up for a concert any day of the week. She was an avid reader, Lego creator, and our resident comic. She supposedly "loved" her dad's jokes, the guy she got her sense of humor from. But most of all she loved being an Auntie - she loved her niece and nephews with her whole heart.
Emma is a beloved daughter, sister, auntie, friend, and so much more. Her absence is profound, a void that cannot be filled with words, but we hope is filled with love. Let her legacy be one of grace, kindness, and a reminder that life is precious. Live each and every day to the fullest because you deserve it.
We pray that she is resting in the hands of our Lord and Savior.
Our dearest Emma, you are so loved and will be forever missed. Our angel above, we love you so much. Until we meet again, give hugs for us.
Take a moment to let the ones you care most about know that you love them and hold them close. Cherish each moment together, give grace where grace is due, and love like Emma, selfless, unwavering and steadfast.
Emma is survived by her parents Hal and Marybeth Jacob, Sisters Allison Jacob, Sydney (Gunnar) Wiltsie, niece and nephews: Rowan, Emmett, and Sawyer, Partner Jonathan Farrey, Paternal Grandparents Duane and Jean Jacob, beloved Aunts, Uncles, extended family, friends, and cherished pets Ollie, Lena, Randy, Earl, Atlas & Jojo.
She is preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents Bruce and Mary Ellen Flanigan.
