Emma Gail Taylor passed away peacefully on December 30th at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, North Carolina, with her loving family by her side.

Emma was born on September 9th 1959. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was defined by love, generosity, and selflessness. She always placed the needs of others before her own and had a giving, compassionate heart that touched family, friends, and all who knew her. Emma was deeply loved and will be missed beyond measure.

Emma retired from Quality Gas, she and her husband managed a Shell station in Spring Lake, North Carolina, for many years. Through her work and daily life, she formed lasting friendships and left a meaningful impact on her community.

She is survived by her daughter, Brandy West and husband Jason; her son, Bobby Ray Taylor and wife Cathy; her grandchildren, Heather Barlup, Emily Conley, and Scott Matthews (affectionately known as "BoBo"); Sadeya Tripp, Akira Stone, Preston Hawkins, Craig Hawkins; Aliya Garner, Blaine Everette, Addison Everette, her brother, Marshall Taylor and wife Joan; her sisters, Patricia Knight and husband Mike, Debra Taylor, and Tammy Stoudenmire and husband Bill; and her step-siblings, Tammy Milks, Gail Carter, and Mark Baker. She is also survived by six cherished great-grandchildren.

Emma was preceded in death by her father, Lyston Taylor; her mother, Mary Baker; her stepfather, Charles Baker; her husband, Charlie Smith; her brother, Marvin Taylor; her daughter, Melissa Hawkins; and her grandson, Brandon Barlup.

Arrangements are being handled by Adcock Funeral Home in Spring Lake, North Carolina. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made directly to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses, or to the GoFundMe https://gofund.me/4e5499df2 established for the family to help cover expenses incurred.

Emma's legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family will live on forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
