Emma was born in San Antonio, Zambales, Philippines on January 26, 1962. Growing up, she was taken care of by her loving grandfather along with her sister, Lourdes, while her mother worked. She attended grade and high school at T.R. Yangco School and graduated at age 16. She attended college at St. Louis College of Nursing at Baguio City but finished and graduated from Ramon Magsaysay College at Manila with a Magna Cum Laude honor. She began her nursing practice as a surgery nurse until she left to come join her mother and stepfather here in the U.S. while she applied for her U.S. nursing license. She enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, was stationed at Bolling Air Force Base, and served for around 3 and a half years. She got married to Anthony Wright and became employed at Southern Maryland Hospital Center as her specialty: a surgery nurse. She bought a small property with a tiny house in Clinton, Maryland, and later, with her son Aaron, knocked it down and had her dream house built on the same lot. She lived there with her sister and son until he went to California for college. She then sold her home in Maryland, moved to Accra, Ghana in Africa to follow her investment in a new surgery center called Nova Surgery Center, and lived there for 6 years until she decided to retire in Ashley. Emma was a creative woman and was always exceptionally good at crafts. She loved to sew and embroidered many beautiful quilts, bags, and backpacks, but most of all, she had a passion for gardening, building, and carpentry. After moving to Ashley, she completely remodeled her house and transformed it into a beautiful abode. Her last place of employment was at Ashley Medical Center until her illness eventually took over.
Emma is survived by her mother, Inez Arnold, of Ashley; her son, Aaron Wright, of Los Angeles, CA; her sister Lourdes Fuerte, of Corpus Christi, TX; one nephew, Joey, of Toronto, Canada; Stepfather, Herbert Arnold, of Ashley; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Sabino Quinsay, to whom she was very close.
Honorary bearers will be Emma's cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Casketbearers will be James Glover of Twenty-Nine Palms, CA; DuWayne Arnold of Ashley; and Fidel Udasco and Ramon Valmocena of Bismarck, ND.
Emma's funeral will be livestreamed at the Lien Family Funeral Care Facebook page.
