Emmsley “Emm” F. Blount was born on August 18, 1950 in Savannah, TN to the late Jahue Horace and Lena Mae Hubbard Blount. On May 2, 1986, Emm was united in marriage to Sandra Ellen Tidwell, who survives. Emm was a jack of all trades with his side kick and identical twin brother, the late James “Jim” Ray Blount, survived by wife, Marie Blount. From construction, flooring, house flipping and working at the local phone company formerly known as BellSouth retiring with 28 years under his belt. Emm was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. All his life, early mornings and late nights were spent reading his Bible, the gospels being his favorite to read. Emm was a proud family man. In his early years, Emm was a big fisherman, teaching the grandkids how to fish. His retired years were spent with the people he loved. Whether it was playing wiffle ball in the yard, sitting on the porch drinking coffee, waiting for The Price is Right to come on at 10 am and Wheel of Fortune in the evenings, every moment of his life was spent with the people he loved. His house always had an open door policy and everyone was welcome, anytime. He lived for his family and in his last moments, his family he loved so dearly were with him when he entered in to the pearly gate of Heaven to meet the God he spent his life preparing for and to reunite with his beloved twin brother, Jim, older brother Covie and his parents. Emm left his earthly body in the early morning of August 31, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Other than his wife, Emm is survived by two children; Brandy Blount (Troy) and James Bradley Blount (Amanda) of Savannah, TN.
