Emma Moore

December 2, 1929 – February 27, 2026

Emma Moore "Emmy" passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026, in Manteca, California, at the age of 96.

Born on December 2, 1929, in Arkansas, she made her home in Manteca for the past 25 years, where she continued to live with faith, style, and devotion to her family.

Emmy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lee Moore; her parents, Graham and Velna; and her daughter, Joyce DePrater.

She is lovingly survived by her children Pam Rich (Richard), and Larry Brinkley (Maureen); seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Her legacy lives on through the many generations who were blessed by her love, wisdom, and example.

Emmy was an accomplished interior designer for 25 years, bringing beauty, warmth, and elegance into countless homes and businesses. Prior to that, she worked as a hairdresser, a profession that reflected both her creativity and her love of connecting with people. She had a true gift for design and presentation; whether decorating a home or putting together an outfit.

Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. Emmy faithfully served as a Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church for many years and later volunteered for 14 years as an administrative assistant at New Hope Church. She loved reading, especially the Bible and novels. Scripture brought her comfort and strength, and she shared that faith generously with others.

She was also an exceptional seamstress, creating beautiful quilts and countless handmade treasures for family and friends.

Emmy was fun, full of personality, and had a stylish flair that never faded. Emmy was known for her beautiful boot collection and her cherished Jackie Onassis hats. Even in her senior years, she maintained her sense of fashion; her sweatsuits always matched, her pajamas coordinated perfectly with her slippers. Looking put together was simply part of who she was.

Throughout her life, Emmy's focus never wavered: faith and family were always most important. She leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, strength, and grace that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
