Emogene Vonola Covington age 94 of Ward went to be with the Lord on June 2, 2024. She was born on November 11, 1929, in England, Arkansas to John William King and Vonola Idell King.
She was an avid country dancer and had won many dance contests in Beebe and Cabot with her dance partner Harold Zbierski.
Emogene is survived by her son John (Diana) Campbell of Daphne, Alabama; daughter Claudia (Red) Allen of Ward; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, Claude Edward Campbell; and son Charles Edward Campbell.
The visitation is Wednesday evening, June 5th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Smith Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W Dewitt Henry, Beebe, Arkansas. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, June 6th at 11:00 a.m. also in the Chapel followed by the burial at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
