Emogene A. Huebschman, 94, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Woodlands Health Campus in Newburgh, IN.
Emogene was born on August 28, 1928, the daughter of the late Herman and Miriam (Wolf) Wittman. She was married to Robert Huebschman on March 30, 1948. Emogene worked in various capacities for General Electric in Tell City, IN for 32 years. She was also actively involved in the management of the farm she owned with Robert for 63 years. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church near New Boston, IN. She was the organist for Sunday church services for 35 years. Emogene was a dedicated mother and truly enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her two sons, Robert G. (Linda) Huebschman of Tell City, IN, and Dennis (Pamela) Huebschman of Bradenton, FL; grandson, Stephen Ray Huebschman of Williamsburg, OH; step-granddaughter, Lisa Schnepp of Indianapolis, IN; and step-great-grandson, Brady Vaughn of Indianapolis, IN.
In addition to her parents, Emogene is preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth and Maurice Wittman; sister, Viola Schriefer; and step-granddaughter, Leslie Hulse.
Funeral services will be at 11am on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Steve Shank officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from at 4pm to 8pm Friday, March 10, 2023, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, and from 10am until service time on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at St. John's Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers the family request that any memorial contributions be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the American Cancer Society.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Heart-to-Heart Hospice and Woodlands Health Campus for the excellent care Emogene received during her final days.
