Elizabeth "Betty" Rothgerber Knepp, 86, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

She was born on January 31, 1940, in Tell City, IN, to the late Edna Daum Rothgerber and Frank Rothgerber. She was formerly employed as a secretary for The Cabinetry in Madisonville, worked at The Loogootee Textile Company, and was also a private caregiver. She enjoyed praying and reading her bible, playing games on her phone, family gatherings, and caring and taking food to others. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Betty was a member of Madisonville Church of the Nazarene.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bric Parker; sister, Nina Mullis and brother-in-law, Dennie Mullis; and her brother, John Rothgerber.

Her survivors include her husband of thirty-seven years, Dewayne Knepp; daughters, Elizabeth Blackwell of Highland, IL, Beri Speckman of Indianapolis, IN, and Bridget Quackenbush of North Port, FL; son, Brian (Tammy) Parker of Madisonville; step-daughter, Rachel (Matt) Anderson of Montgomery, IN; brothers, Albert (Margie) Rothgerber of Ferdinand, IN, Irvin Rothgerber of Tell City, IN, and Lonnie (Chris) Rothgerber of Watauga, TX; sister-in-law, Perk Rothgerber; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Madisonville Church of the Nazarene, 1107 McLeod Lane, Madisonville, KY 42431. Burial will be held at a later date at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Tell City, IN.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday at the church. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.

Memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to The Door of Hope, 1805 South Main Street, Madisonville, KY 42431.
