WRIGHT, Ms. Emoni Nicole (a.k.a. Jordan Anthony) - Age 26, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023. Family hour 1:30 PM Monday, August 28, 2023 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906
W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Min. Jeremy Riley, officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the chapel 1:30 PM Monday. Ms. Wright will lie in state in the chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home. Public viewing will be during family hour only. Ms. Emoni Nicole Wright (Jordan Anthony) was born August 25, 1996 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Kenyatta Marie Wright and Christopher Lamar Brown. Emoni attended Flint Community Schools. She was the light of every room she walked in. Emoni put a smile on everyone's face without having to say a word. As a child, she always walked to the beat of her own drum in spite of what anyone thought of her.
Emoni loved her little big sister even through the daily cat fights, but what do you expect when you have 2 divas in the same house. If you gave Emoni a glue gun, a pair of scissors and a pair of jeans, she would turn it into a masterpiece. Emoni's love of fashion, dance and just being THAT GIRL was the flame that lit the fire she needed to soar. She made a lot of friends from Detroit, California, Ohio, Texas and Atlanta, helping her evolve into the ballroom scene using her beauty and confidence to win several competitions leaving her heart on that stage. Emoni does not want us to be sad she would want us to take her memories and focus on the good time, create new memories and strut your stuff the way that she did.
Ms. Emoni Nicole Wright leaves to cherish her memory: mother, Kenyatta Wright (Courtney Steverson; grandparents, Aaron (Tammy) Wooten, Charlie (Patricia) Clark, Sherrel (Karmon) Harbin, Georgia Ann Nunley and Larry Lesabre Freeman; 2 sisters, Lauryn Ashley Roberson and Ava Steverson; 6 brothers, Deonte Parks, Christopher McCombs, Jaylin Meeks, Prince Talley, Treshon Nelson and Xhase Steverson; honorary sister, Jazzunique Johnson; 2 nieces, Lauryn and Laila McCombs; 3 nephews, Josiah Tate, Deonte and Taytum Parks; 4 aunts, Laquette (shonale) Akins, LaKrisha (Kenneth) Engram, Rave Motten and Kinda Clark; 4 uncles, Aaron (Talia) Wooten, Keith Brown, Kwasi Clark and Kamal Clark; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Lareesha Parks, Jiavidae Watson, Mychael Tony, Taki White, Deasia Maxwell, Inga McQueen, Bria Roche, Adwar Anderson and Ebony Queen Staxx.
Ms. Wright was preceded in death by her father, Christopher Lamar Brown; great-grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. James Brown, Otis Clark, John & Gladys Wright, James & Floria Freeman.
