Obituary of Emory V. Jackson, Jr.

Emory V. Jackson, Jr., 83, of South Orange, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, from 4:00–7:00 PM at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Avenue, South Orange, NJ.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 28, at 10:30 AM at Rosedale Crematory Chapel, 408 Orange Road, Montclair, NJ.

Born in Donalsonville, Georgia, Mr. Jackson later lived in Queens before settling in South Orange 23 years ago, where he became a beloved member of the community.

Mr. Jackson proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969. For his honorable service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and qualified as Sharpshooter (M-14).

He was employed as a Security Officer with Swatch Group in Secaucus, NJ, where he was known for his dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic.

Emory was a devoted husband, father, and brother. He is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Bianco Jackson; his three sons, Christopher Jackson, Nicolas Jackson, and Tyler Jackson; and his brother, Larry Williams. He was predeceased by his brothers, Wayne and Ronnie Williams and his sister, Rhunette Williams.

Mr. Jackson will be remembered for his quiet strength, deep love for his family, and steadfast commitment to those he cared about. He leaves behind a legacy of service, integrity, and devotion that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
