Emory Lawrence "Mike" Millway Jr. Emory Lawrence "Mike" Millway Jr., of Charlottesville, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2013.

He was born in Louisa County on January 22, 1933, the son of late Emory Lawrence Millway Sr. and Sally Mae Millway. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Gordon Millway; and daughter, Cynthia Ann Millway.

He is survived by his son, Rick L. Millway of Rocky Mount, Virginia; daughter, Brenda S. Millway of Lynchburg, Virginia; and daughter, Angela Breaud and her husband, Paul Breaud, of Faber, Virginia; two step grandchildren, Logan Breaud and Corbin Breaud; three loving sisters, Kitty Stever of Stanardsville, Shirley Powell Regan and her husband, Tom, of Palmyra, and Bunny Morris and her husband, Al, of Charlottesville; nephews, Jeff and Gordon Ladd, Mark Sommerville, Terry Booth and Michael Powell; a niece, Debbie Gregory; and very dear family friends Dennis, Chris and Tommy Summers.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War in the 101st Airborne Division. He retired from the Michie Law Publishing firm and later worked at the West Park Market where he met many valued friends, especially Nadeem Khan and Bruce Gray.

He loved to play softball, go fishing at the Outer Banks and especially loved horse racing and University of Virginia sports.

A celebration of his life will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2013, at the Teague Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends beginning at 11:30 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on his behalf to the Louisa or Charlottesville SPCA.
