Enola Gay Holcomb, age 64, of Saucier, Mississippi, passed away on September 5, 2025.
Born in Gulfport, Mississippi, Enola was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. She graduated from Harrison Central High School and will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willie A. Holcomb II, and her brother-in-law, Harold E. “Gene” Bermond. Her grandparents: Beulah B. Ladner, T.J. Ladner, Willie A. Holcomb I, Harvey, and Thelma Bryant; and her uncle Joseph N. Holcomb and aunt Bonnie Lou Parker; other dear aunts, uncles, and cousins
Enola is survived by her devoted mother, Mary E. Holcomb; her sister, Sharon Kay Bermond; and her brothers, Dennis Lee Holcomb (Kim) and Willie A. Holcomb III (Tami); her nieces and nephews, Scott Fortenberry, Jeremy Bermond (Bridgett), Joshua Bermond (LeAnne), Adam Holcomb, Tifney Holcomb, and D.J. Enola found joy in the simple things—reading, listening to Elvis Presley, and watching The Young and the Restless. She loved caring for her fur babies, tending to her hummingbirds, and sharing special moments with her family. Her favorite color was purple, and she had a sweet tooth for chocolate and treats. Above all, she treasured caring for her mother and showering her family with love.
Those who knew Enola will remember her as a strong, resilient, and humble woman who was always selfless and kind. She was a mother figure to her nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, constantly putting others before herself. Despite her health struggles, she never complained and continued to share her love generously with everyone around her.
