Enriqueta C. Flake

Enriqueta C. Flake (aka "Emy" or "Timmy"), of Center Line MI, got her angel wings on Monday, January 31, 2022 at the young age of 69. She was born on July 15, 1952, in San Fernando Pampanga, in the Philippines to the late Serafin and Genoveva Cristobal. Beloved wife of Alfredo Jr. for 27 years. Loving mother of Catherine (Keith) Robinson, MaryAnn (Steven) Fick and Nicole. Step-mother of Karissa De Leon and Tristan (Gina) Flake. Proud and adored grandmother of Breeanna, Hayley, Keith Jr., Vaughn, Pierce, Vivienne, and step-grandmother of Caityln. Cherished sister of Hermenegilda (the late Antonio) Vitug, Leonila (Nicholas) Rutkowski, Valentino (Shirley) Cristobal, the late Blanca (the late Jesus) Manio, the late Dr. Serafin Cristobal Jr., and the late Josefina Sabornido. She is also survived by many wonderful nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Emy attended college and bravely immigrated to the United States where she worked hard her whole life (sometimes two or three jobs at a time) and finally, deservedly retired from Turri as an Operations Manager in April 2019. She was a devote Catholic and charitable with her time and money to her local church as well as her hometown church in the Philippines. Emy was quite an athlete in her early years enjoying basketball and volleyball. She thoroughly enjoyed hosting family gatherings, cooking (boy she made the best eggrolls EVER), traveling, playing BINGO, and slots. Before departing, she put in place the best family traditions, which will be carried on indefinitely.
Those that knew Emy well or even for a short time, quickly recognized her selflessness, modesty, and that she got no greater pleasure than being a mother to her three daughters, a grandmother to her six grandkids, a step-mom to her two step-kids, and a step-grandmother to her step-granddaughter. Her contagious laugh, her beautiful smile, and big heart will be sorely missed.
