Eric Dan Benson

Eric Dan Benson, age 37, a lifelong Atoka, OK area resident. He was born on Tuesday, May 14, 1985, to Toni and Rita (Skaggs) Benson, at Sherman, TX. Eric passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Denison, TX. He graduated from Stringtown High School, attended Kiamichi Vo Tech, and East Central University in Ada, OK. Eric was the owner and operator of Southeastern Truck and Trailer Parts in Stringtown. He worked for several years at Stateline Truck Parts and Stan's Truck Parts in Colbert. He married Rebecca Lynn Allen on Thursday, December 29th, 2005 at Atoka, Oklahoma. Eric was a member of the Old Paths Baptist Church in Atoka. He loved basketball, hunting, especially hunting large whitetails, he loved to watch Disney movies and play video games with 'His Girls.' Eric loved listening to Working Class Bowhunter podcast.
Eric is survived by his wife, Rebecca Lynn Benson of the home in Atoka, OK; children, Serena Lynn Benson and Jolynn Marie Benson; parents, Toni and Rita Benson of Stringtown, OK; siblings, April Carroll and husband Ryan of Atoka, OK, Mark Benson and wife Shelby of Phillips, OK; in laws, Ron Allen and wife Linda of Tushka, OK, Robin Allen of Lane, OK; nephews and nieces, Travis Carroll, Abbygail Carroll, Mattie Benson, Chase Benson, Cort Campbell, Kraygen Allen, Lathan Ridgway, David Easley, Dax Easley, Bohdy Allen, Adalae Allen, Delton Allen; sister in law, Karri Easley of Atoka, OK; brother in law, J.D. Allen and wife Katie of Leflore, OK; grandfather; Robert Benson of Atoka, OK, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
He was preceded by his paternal grandmother, Lois Benson; maternal grandparents, Georgia Jackson, Kenneth Jackson, Clarence Skaggs; cousins, David Tisdell, Jared Benson; aunts, Eugenia Capshaw, Kay Jones, Joyce Jackson, Ahlona Jackson; uncles, Michael Tisdell and Randall Jackson
