William Benson Obituary
Born in Perth Amboy, Bill has resided all of his life in Carteret and Woodbridge and was employed as a mechanic with Atlantic Response with Chris Dayke, who considered Bill a part of his family. Bill was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved to drive his Camaro. He was hardworking, generous and helpful to anyone in need and dedicated his life to his loving family. Bill was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed.
Bill was predeceased by his father, Frederick Benson and his nephew, Terry Miller. Surviving are his mother, Carol Benson; siblings, Carolyn Lakatos with her companion Rick Taranovich, Fred Benson with his companion Veronica Kasian, Richard Benson with his wife Michelle and James Benson; nieces and nephews, Angela and Sim, Kristi, Richard and Rosie, Erick, Lauren and Chuck and Dillon and Jharleys along with many great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 5pm to 8pm at GERITY & CHUBENKO FUNERAL HOME, 411 Amboy Avenue, Woodbridge. Private cremation will follow at Rosehill Crematory in Linden.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Benson family.

Bill was definitely hardworking, considerate and fun to pal around with, especially at work. The entire Ryerson Family expresses their sympathy and condolences to the Benson Family during this difficult time. Rest in peace Bill, we´ll take it from here.
