He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Clifford and Dorothy Bickel, Joe and Vera Locke, and Harlan Hutchison.
Growing up in Wellington, Eric became skilled with his hands, learning repair and maintenance of properties and anything with an engine. This led to a lifetime of using his many talents. Having a love for the outdoors, Eric spent many hours riding RZR, boats and dune buggies, as well as racing RC cars. He always had a project to work on and it had to go fast! He was an accomplished grill master who truly enjoyed grilling meat.
For many years, Eric dreamed of moving to the Branson area. This dream started as a child when he would visit with his parents. In 2018, Eric and Cindy left Kansas and started life in the Branson area. The many memories Eric created with his family and friend will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed by all.
Eric is survived by his loving wife of five years, Cindy Bickel of Hollister, Missouri; His parents: Chuck and Saundra Hutchison of Wellington, Kansas, Gary and Virginia Bickel of Florida; a son, Deric and wife Chelsea of Rose Hill, Kansas; his daughters: Kaylyn and husband Andrew, and Kylee, all of Rose Hill, Kansas; his grandchildren: Tanner, Bristol, Makenze, Alec, Adaline, and Decklynn; his brothers: Troy and wife Tricia of Tolland, Connecticut, and Matt and wife Kami of Belle Plaine, Kansas; a sister, Carrie and friend Steve of South Haven, Kansas; as well as his grandmother, Alois Hutchison of Wichita, Kansas.
No public services are planned at this time. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SoggyBottom-motorsports.com 350 Bohmont Road, Sparta, Missouri 65753.
